Blog for Tuesday July 18
Hello my ATS friends!
It is important that you check the blog every day. You are required to post every day, although there will be a few days where the post is just a link to a quiz.
When you post please be sure to put your name somewhere on the post so that you get credit.
Today I want you to click on this link and write a response to what you see. How does the cartoon relate to what we learned in class about Internet safety?
Thank you!

This is how you make a comment
you can lie about your identity and other important details about your self
You can lie to others about your personality, looks, and qualities on the internet. Some people do this on Myspace.
ur friend on a game that u never met before online could be a 80 year old man livin with his mom pretendting to be a 13 year old boy in wisconsin.

people can hide who the are on the intrenet from anyone the chose
The cartoon relates to what we learned because people shouldn't know who you are, so you should never give out your private information.
I think this cartoon relates to what we learned in class today because it shows how on the internet, you never really know who you are talking to, so you should be really careful. People can be much different than they say they are, so don't trust anyone!
you should never tell who or "what" you are on the internet.
This cartoon shows that you can never be sure who you're talking to and it isn't safe to relaese personal information onto the Internet.
It is related to the safty lesson today by don't give out personal info unless your parents say ok. ANd don't do it without your parents permission.
If you havent met them personaly or face to face, you shouldnt give out your information over the internet.
imagine that....and yet he could probably still use his fingers. lol!

this cartoon relates to safety on the computer because it shows that no one know that he is a dog because he isn't giving out his personal information.
howdy i like this class a lot!
I learned that whatever someone tells you on the Internet might not be true.
I saw one dog tellin the other dog that no one knows he was a dog, so that can be true for everyone. No one knows who you are on the internet, so you should be careful who you talk to so you dont talk with someone one who may try to meet with you or take advantage of you. Be careful what information you give out so people cant find out who you are.
i think this is cool and i will come back next day/
You should never put your personal information on the internet and should never lie!!^_^
U dont ever know unless they use a "Chatroom body shot effect" and put in a fake picture....lol, an 12 year old girl using brad pitt?!?!?!?!
IF DOGS CAN USE INTERNET YOU WOULDN'T KNOW BECAUSE YOU CAN'T TELL THE DIFFERENCE UNLESS THEY ADMIT THAT THEY ARE A DOG.AMD IF THEY SAY SOMTHING LIKE THIS "... MAN I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE PULL ON MY FUR AND MY TAIL..." SOMTIMES IT IS GOOD TO HAVE INTERNET SECURITY BUT IT MIGHT BE BAD FOR THE OTHER PERSON IF THEY DONT KNOW WHO YOU ARE.
It is saying that nobody knows who you really are on the internet and you don't know who anyone else is. Plus it proves that dogs CAN use the internet.
It shows that if you talk to a person online that you haven't met before, it could be someone you don't think it is. For all you know you could be talking to a dog. So, you shouldn't talk to anyone that you haven't met face to face.
The Cartoon
This Cartoon refers to the tactic online rapists, kidnappers, etc. use. They make it sound like they're younger so they can find you and hurt you.
The cartoon shows you it's not safe to give out personal information on the internet to someone you are talking to becuase you can't tell who that person is and if he/she is going to try to hurt you by using that information.
THe person you give the info to could be any age and gender no matter what they claim.
it is related by the lesson today because you could be thinking you are talking to a 12 year old kid who may want to kidnap you and he is 34.
I think this cartoon relates to what we learned in class today because it shows how on the internet, you never really know who you are talking to, so you should be really careful.
People could say something that they are not on the internet, and you dont know who you are talking to and shouldnt give out information to poeple to people you think are your friends.
Personal information should not be put on the internet, or you could be identified.
When you are on the internet you're not suposed to give out personel imformation about your self.
you shouldn't give out any pearsonal info because u never know who u r talking 2 unless you got your friends name from them directly
I think that the cartoon is saying that u shldn't release yur personal info on the web, cause u never kno whos gonna see it, u may think its another kid, but it may be an adult lookin for unsuspecting kids.
hi this class is fun i like it a lot.
Noone knows who you are if you are a dog.
Any person who you meet on the Internet could be your best friend or an Internet stalker. That is why Myspace is so bad for kids under sixteen and even adults! Don't ever put your full name, email address, home address or phone number where the public can view them. Is it smart to put your personal info on a billboard? It isn't smart to put it on the Internet, either.
i cant wait to make my own website rofl it will be so fun!:)
Wouldn't it be funny if all the scammers out there actually were dogs?
Blogs aren't that safe either. Fortunately, this blog is being watched, but what about others? NEVER respond to blogs you don't know. You'd be talking to complete strangers! They could be friendly people in China or they could be kidnappers escaped from prison right in your own backyard.
you can lie about yourself on the internet because no one else would know where to find you
giving away ur ID on the net is unintelligent because people could track ur address down
